McDevitt’s Weekend Effort Nets Player of the Week Honors

RINDGE, N.H. (December 18, 2017) – Franklin Pierce University men's basketball senior forward Mike McDevitt (Cumberland, Maine) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Week Monday morning by the league office. This is the first time this season a Raven hoops player was selected as Player of the Week and the first time McDevitt captured top athlete honors during his collegiate career.


McDevitt carried the Ravens during a 2-0 weekend at the AIC Holiday Classic. The team captain averaged 24.5 points on 70.8% (17-of-24) shooting including a 50.0% (4-of-8) showing from downtown to go along with 8.5 rebounds, 2.0 blocks, and 2.0 assists per game. He racked up his third double-double of the year in the victory versus Bloomfield on Saturday with a game-best 20 points and 12 rebounds. He also added three blocks on the defensive end. On Sunday, he set a new personal-high with 29 points on 10-of-14 (71.4%) shooting and was 3-of-5 (60.0%) from long range.

The Ravens (6-5, 2-5 NE10) head into the holiday break on a three-game winning streak and return to the hardwood on Wednesday, January 3, 2018, when they welcome Thomas Jefferson University to The Fieldhouse for a 1:00 p.m. tip-off.
