Moore Named Rookie of the Week For the Second Time

RINDGE, N.H. (January 18, 2019) – Franklin Pierce University men's basketball freshman guard Isaiah Moore (Temple Hills, Md.) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Rookie of the Week Monday afternoon by the league offices. It is the second time this season Moore has garnered top rookie honors.


Moore started and played in two games for the Ravens this past week leading the Crimson and Grey to a 1-1 mark. The freshman guard averaged 12.5 points, 2.5 assists, 1.5 rebounds and 1.0 steals per game while shooting 9-of-13 (64.3%) from the hardwood, 4-of-5 (80%) from deep and a perfect 3-of-3 (100%) at the charity stripe. In the Raven victory against Merrimack on Wednesday, Moore dropped 14 points on an efficient 5-of-7 (71.4%) shooting and 2-of-2 (100%) three-point and free throw attempts. He also handed out five helpers and snagged three boards.

The newcomer is averaging 9.6 points, 2.4 assists, 2.0 rebounds and 1.0 steals per game while shooting 45.4% from the floor and 37.3% from three-point land.

The Ravens (13-12, 9-9 NE10) remain on the road Wednesday they travel to Assumption College for a 7:30 p.m. conference duel.
