Men’s Golf Ends Run at NE10 Championship, Finishes Fourth

ENDICOTT, N.Y. (October 1, 2018) The Franklin Pierce University men's golf program recorded their best finish at the Northeast-10 Conference Championship since the 2014-15 season as they placed fourth Monday afternoon at the En-Joie Golf Club in Endicott, N.Y.

FPU was tied for third place with Assumption College and host Le Moyne College at 297 (+9) following 18 holes yesterday. The Crimson and Grey tacked on only two strokes Monday to shoot a 299 (+11) and a 596 (+20) total, but Assumption dropped three strokes to place third at 590 (+14). Southern New Hampshire University was atop the team leaderboard both days (574, -2) as they captured their fourth league title overall and first since 2015.

Junior Keeton Foster (Spofford, N.H.) paced Pierce as he tied for ninth place with Ben Donahue of Adelphi University and Garrett Olivar of Southern New Hampshire by carding a 147 (+3). Junior transfer Nathan Patterson (Conway, Mass.) was the Ravens most improved golfer and the only athlete to shoot an under par round during the championship as he turned in a 71 (-1) scorecard Monday which was good enough for a share of 12th place.

Junior Liam Donohue (Vernon, Conn.) totaled a 151 (+7) two-round score, sophomore Dylan Plis (Camillus, N.Y.) fired a 152 (+8) and junior Sam Myers (Colchester, Vt.) subtracted two strokes Monday to shoot a 77 (+5) and 156 (+12) over the course of the tournament.

Franklin Pierce heads back out on the course this Friday as they head to Saint Rose and the Pinehaven Country Club.
