Men’s Golf Concludes Fall Season with Seventh Place Finish at Le Moyne

CICERO, N.Y. (October 19, 2019) – The Franklin Pierce University men's golf team wrapped up their fall slate of tournaments on Saturday with a seventh place finish out of 15 programs at the Le Moyne Fall Invitational hosted by the Lake Shore Yacht & Country Club.

The crimson and grey, who shot a 299 (+11) first round knocked off five strokes from their second day total (294, +6) to finish at 593 (+17). Northeast-10 Conference opponent Assumption College tied with Laval for the tournament title (586, +10) and Concorida, host Le Moyne College and Southern New Hampshire University all deadlocked for third at 589 (+13).

Pierce had three golfers rank within the top-20 including one individual. Senior Nate Patterson (Conway, Mass.) subtracted three strokes from his first round card to finish at 147 (+3) for a share of 12th place. Dylan Plis (Camillus, N.Y.) and individual Michael Sosik (Fiskdale, Mass.) tied for 15th at 148 (+4) with Plis turning in a second round 73 (+1).

Senior Sam Myers (Colchester, Vt.), Liam Donohue (Vernon, Conn.) and Keeton Foster (Spofford, N.H.) all contributed as well. Myers fired a 149 (+5), Donohue followed with a 151 (+7) and Foster, the Ravens most improved golfer, dropped six strokes off his round one scorecard to finish 10 over par (154).

The Ravens return to the course in the spring.
