#2 Men's Soccer Set to Play Stonehill in NE-10 Quarterfinals on Tuesday at SNHU in Manchester, N.H.

Game moved to 7 p.m. at Southern New Hampshire University in Manchester, N.H.

RINDGE, N.H. (October 31, 2011) -- The No. 2 nationally ranked Franklin Pierce University men's soccer team is coming off an unbeaten regular season (16-0-1) and is now ready to take on the postseason, which begins on Tuesday evening with a 7 p.m. kickoff versus Stonehill in the Northeast-10 Conference quarterfinals. The match, though, will be played at the Southern New Hampshire University Soccer Field in Manchester, N.H. The contest was moved due to unplayable field conditions on the Franklin Pierce campus, caused by this past weekend's snow storm which bombarded the New England region.

Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for children/senior citizens and $1 for college students showing a valid college ID.

The match will also be video broadcast live on the internet at http://www.snhupenmen.com/information/video(.)

Franklin Pierce claimed the league's regular season championship with a 12-0-1 conference record, and in the process, earned the top seed and home-field advantage in the NE-10 tournament. It marked the second-straight year the Ravens accomplished the feat. Last season's NE-10 regular season title helped propel the Ravens throughout the conference tournament as they claimed the post-season championship on home soil with a 1-0 win over Bentley. Stonehill enters this year's tournament as the eighth seed after finishing the regular season with a 10-8 overall record and a 7-6 mark in the Northeast-10.

Franklin Pierce and Stonehill will be meeting for the second time this season with the Ravens pulling out a 2-0 victory back on Sept. 24 in Sodexo Field. Senior forward Victor Goncalves (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) powered the Ravens offensive attack as he scored twice, while senior goalkeeper Vinny Papageorgiou (Wilmington, Mass.) made a pair of saves to earn the shutout victory.

A win on Tuesday would advance Franklin Pierce to the conference semifinals, which would be held on Friday in Rindge. The NE-10 championship match will be held on Sunday at 1 p.m. at the site of the highest remaining seed.
