  • Three Student Athletes Earn Academic All-Conference Honors

    Franklin Pierce University athletes Carly Canavan (Kingston, N.Y.) of the field hockey team, Katie Leidhold (Acushnet, Mass.) of the volleyball team and Hamish Cadigan (Christchurch, New Zealand) of the men’s soccer team have all earned Northeast-10 Academic All-Conference Honors it was announced Wednesday afternoon by the league office.

    Franklin Pierce University men’s soccer players Marius Preber (Jessheim, Norway) and Jacob Blixt (Borrby, Sweden) have been selected to the Division II Conference Commissioner’s Association (CAA) Men’s Soccer East Region First Team it was announced Wednesday afternoon.

With the loss, the Crimson and Grey finish the campaign at 12-6 and the Warriors remain alive at 15-5.

    The Franklin Pierce University men’s soccer team showed some flair for the dramatic in their one regular season contest against Southern New Hampshire University and the Ravens clutch gene appeared yet again this time during the Northeast-10 Conference Quarterfinals as Charlie Madden (Newton Abbott, United Kingdom) headed home the game winner 12 minutes into extra time which gave the Ravens a 2-1 double overtime victory against the Penmen on Tuesday evening.

With the victory, the Ravens earn their 10th win and improve to 8-3 in league play and the loss drops the Golden Knights to 5-8-1, 3-7-1 NE-10.

    Freshman Noam Kolakofsky (Liman, Israel) racked up his second goal of the season, but it wasn’t enough as #11 nationally-ranked Adelphi University beat Franklin Pierce 2-1 Tuesday evening in Northeast-10 Conference action. The loss drops the Crimson and Grey’s record to 7-3, 5-3 NE-10 and the win improves the Panthers to 9-1-1, 7-0-1 NE-10.
  • Men’s Soccer Nets Pair in First Half to Blank Saint Anselm, 2-0

(October 7, 2016) – Freshman midfielder Jacob Blixt (Borrby, Sweden) struck in the 22nd minute and junior back Hamish Cadigan (Christchurch, New Zealand) followed in the 34th minute on Friday night, providing all the offense necessary at Sodexo Field. The Franklin Pierce University men’s soccer team used the two first-half goals and held Saint Anselm to just one shot on goal on the way to a 2-0 win in Northeast-10 Conference play.

With the win, the Ravens improve to 6-1, 4-1 NE-10 on the year and the loss, the Penmen’s first of the season drops them to 6-1, 4-1 NE-10.

    Since the home opener on September 3rd, the Franklin Pierce University men’s soccer team played three contests on the road, winning one non-conference duel and one Northeast-10 Conference contest. The Crimson and Grey continued their winning ways Saturday as they defeated league foe Stonehill, 3-1 for their third straight away victory. With the win, the Ravens move to 4-0, 2-0 NE-10 and return to Rindge for three straight home conference contests beginning Wednesday.

With the win, the Ravens move to 2-0 on the young season and the setback sends Molloy to 1-2.
