    The Franklin Pierce University men’s soccer team concluded their non-conference schedule Tuesday evening with a 1-1 tie to Queens (N.Y.) College at Nassau Community College. The draw sends the Ravens to 2-1-1 and the Knights to 2-2-1.
  • CHANGING OF THE GUARD: New Faces, New Identity for Men’s Soccer

    A new coaching staff can be extremely stressful for any sports team, especially for a team that is also composed of primarily new players. When head men’s soccer coach Ruben Resendes was hired in January, there were 23 players on the team. By the end of June, there were only 11, due to transferring students and graduates. Resendes, along with other coaches and players, was able to build up the team to the current roster of 32 players and two new assistant coaches.
  • Franklin Pierce Athletics Announces 2019 Hall of Fame Class

    RINDGE, N.H. (September 12, 2019) – Two National Players of the Year, another All-America selection and a two-time All-Northeast-10 Conference selection highlight the Franklin Pierce University Department of Athletics’ 2019 Hall of Fame class, as announced on Thursday afternoon. The four-athlete class represents five sports and will be honored over the course of Hall of Fame Weekend on Nov. 8 and 9. The formal induction will take place at a private social on Friday night, Nov. 8. The quartet will then be honored publicly on Saturday, in conjunction with the Nov. 9 football game against Bentley.
  • #16 Mercy Hands Men’s Soccer First Loss of the Year

    After beginning the season with two consecutive shutout victories, the Franklin Pierce University men’s soccer team suffered their first loss of the 2019 campaign, a 2-1 decision to non-conference and no. 16 nationally-ranked Mercy College on Mercy Field Thursday afternoon. The loss sends the Ravens to 2-1-0 on the year while the Mavericks move to 2-0-1.
  • Men’s Soccer Outlasts Bridgeport, 1-0

    RINDGE, N.H. (September 8, 2019) – In a game which was hardly kept under control by the rash of bookings administered, the Franklin Pierce University men’s soccer team locked horns with Bridgeport in a high-tension, early-season, non-conference match at Sodexo Field on Sunday afternoon. The referee was kept busy throughout, as the teams combined for eight cautions for a mix of hard play, backtalk and time wasting. The Ravens eventually mixed in a goal among the deck of cards to pull out the 1-0 victory, which capped a busy opening weekend of the fall season in Rindge. The lone score came in the 69th minute, as junior back Cristobal Andreu (Castellon de la Plana, Spain) converted on a free kick by graduate student forward Javier Gonzalez Carraminana (Madrid, Spain).

    Franklin Pierce University men’s soccer graduate student Stefan Lohberger (Schoellnach, Germany) had a debut for the ages as the Raven forward notched three goals with two coming in the second half guiding the Crimson and Grey to a 4-0 shutout win versus non-conference opponent Felician University Thursday afternoon on Sodexo Field.

    RINDGE, N.H. (September 4, 2019) – The 2019-20 athletic season is just one sleep away, with NCAA Division II action set to start on fields across the country on Thursday, Sept. 5. The Franklin Pierce University Department of Athletics is geared up for its own jam-packed opening weekend, which will see games on Sodexo Field Thursday through Sunday, giving fans plenty of opportunities to come out and catch the Ravens in action.
