MANSFIELD, Mass. (September 17, 2019) -- Fresh off his race win on Saturday, sophomore Riley Fenoff (Danville, Vt.) of the Franklin Pierce University cross country team has been named Northeast-10 Conference Athlete of the Week, for the week ending on 9/15, as announced on Tuesday by the league office. In addition, freshman Nadia Cathcart (Hyde Park, N.Y.) has been named NE10 Rookie of the Week.
Fenoff posted an 8k time of 25:07 to finish first, out of 131 runners, at the UNE Invitational. It was the second victory of his collegiate career, and he led the Ravens to a second-place finish, out of 11 teams.
Meanwhile, Cathcart ran a 5k time of 21:15, which was good enough for 34th, out of 133 runners, in the women’s race. Her performance helped the Ravens to a fourth-place finish, out of 11 teams.
The Ravens will be back in action on Saturday, Sept. 21, at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational in Dartmouth, Mass.
