  • Zemaitis Matches Career-High with 12 Strikeouts, Ravens Grab First Conference Victory at AIC

    Franklin Pierce University softball sophomore pitcher Cyrena Zemaitis (Goshen, Conn.) struck out a career-best 12 batters as the Ravens rolled to a 3-1 game one win during a Northeast-10 Conference doubleheader at American International College Sunday afternoon. AIC bested the Ravens 3-2 in game two. The 1-1 day sends FPU to 5-11 overall and 1-1 NE10 and the Yellow Jackets go to 2-10, 1-3 NE10.

  • Ravens Win Game One on Play at the Plate, Take One of Two in Kutztown

    The Franklin Pierce University softball team ended their six-game road trip on Monday splitting a two-game doubleheader versus Kutztown University. In game one, the Crimson and Grey bested the Bears 3-1 in eight innings before suffering a 13-0 five-inning defeat in the back end of the twinbill. The Ravens travel back north to New Hampshire at 4-10 while Kutztown improves to 11-10.

    The Franklin Pierce University softball team wrapped up their four-game weekend set against East Stroudsburg University by splitting a pair of games on Saint Patrick’s Day at the Maplezone Sports Complex. The Warriors walked off the Ravens after Pierce rallied to tie in the top of the seventh to take the first game 5-4 until the Ravens enacted revenge with a 6-1, 11 hit second game win. The Ravens improve their mark to 3-9 overall while ESU goes to 9-11.
  • Softball Loses Two Close Games at East Stroudsburg

    The Franklin Pierce University softball program traveled to East Stroudsburg University for a doubleheader and dropped both games a 3-2 game one setback to the Warriors and a 4-3 second game defeat. The wins send the home team to 8-10 on the year while the Crimson and Grey moved to 2-8 with both losses.

    The Franklin Pierce University softball team wrapped up their trip to Florida yesterday suffering a 15-1 five-inning defeat to Rockhurst University in the first game of a twinbill before beating Lake Erie College 7-1. The 1-1 Saturday effort gives the Ravens a 2-6 mark as they head back north to New Hampshire. The Hawks improve their record to 9-6 with the victory and the loss sends the Storm to 2-2.

    The Franklin Pierce University softball team went 1-1 Friday morning suffering a 7-4 defeat to Malone University and shutting out Bloomfield College 6-0. With the split, the Ravens record moves to 1-5 while the Pioneers improve to 6-3 and the setback sends the Bears to 2-6 on the young season.

    The Franklin Pierce University softball team completed the second day of their campaign opening trip to Florida on Thursday suffering two losses to Minnesota State University Moorhead 4-0 and 12-0 to Alderson Broaddus University. With the wins, the Dragons move to 4-11 overall and the Battlers improve to 2-8.

    The Franklin Pierce University softball team kicked off their 2019 slate of games Wednesday afternoon with two close defeats, the first a 6-2 decision to Trevecca Nazarene University and a 4-2 second game setback to the University of the Sciences. The wins send the Trojans to 10-5 overall and the Devils to 1-7.

(July 17, 2018) – Franklin Pierce University Director of Athletics Rachel Burleson has announced Andrew Klaus has been named the 12th head coach in the Division II era (since 1989) of the University’s softball program. Klaus will replace Hannah Griffin, who has resigned her position effective Aug. 3.
