Ravens In Second Following First Day of FPU Invitational

KEENE, N.H. (September 23, 2018) The Franklin Pierce University women's golf team took part in the opening round of the 2018 FPU Fall Invitational Sunday evening at the Keene Country Club.

Through 18 holes, the Ravens stand in second place at 314 (+26) and trail Northeast-10 Conference opponent Merrimack College (312, +24) by two strokes. The Ravens are ahead of Southern New Hampshire by 13.

Sarah Daley (Beverly, Mass.) and Zoe Yamamoto (Honolulu, Hawaii) both paced the Ravens with 78 (+6) scorecards. The duo is tied for fifth place. Taylor Hartley (Battle Ground, Wash.) and Christine Songcuan (Lancaster, Calif.) tallied 79 (+7) scores while rounding out the Raven top-10 showings.

Rosa Jones (Mastic, N.Y.) totaled a 90 (+18) and Shannon Slater shot a 92 (+20) as an individual.

The Ravens hope to climb the team leaderboard tomorrow during the second round.
