The Ravens raced out to a 6-4 lead early in the opening set as Pease set Roach for an easy mash. Two consecutive kills by Elise Jolly and Sarah Lowery dished out by Jewel Hays pushed the Hawks ahead 11-8. Mineweaser briefly stopped the Hawks momentum, but SAC exploded for a 9-2 run to increase their edge to 20-11. A Mineweaser kill, a Hawks attack miscue and Carias' only ace of the match dropped the Raven deficit to 22-18. Saint Anselm would win the set by tallying the final three points.

In the second set, Saint Anselm started fast rolling up five consecutive points, which included a dual stuff by Sollows and Elise Jolly. Their lead improved to 7-1 via a Raven attack error. FPU brought the Hawk lead down to three, 7-4 until another expansive 11-1 Hawk binge upped their advantage to 18-5. Pierce continued to battle going on an 8-2 run of their own, a balanced attack with kills from Carias, Roach, and two from Mineweaser made the set 20-13. Saint Anselm rattled off the final five points to hold a commanding 2-0 match lead.

Mineweaser gave the Ravens a 3-1 edge early in the third set. Another bash by the freshman improved their lead to three, 7-4. A Raven block error, two Jordan Schamp kills and a Georgia DuMars service ace drove the hosts back into the lead at 9-8. The teams traded points over the course of the middle portion of the set. Freshmen Corinne McCarthy (Kalamazoo, Mich.) and Mineweaser clogged the net and stuffed Jordan Schamp to regain the lead to FPU at 20-19. However, the Ravens were outscored 6-2 as they fell in three sets.

The Ravens will look to return to the win column this weekend when they host their home finale and senior day contest Saturday against Southern Connecticut State at 12:00 p.m.
