RINDGE, N.H. (September 10, 2019) – Franklin Pierce University volleyball freshman middle hitter Ingrid Lindstrom (Dudley, Mass.) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Player and Rookie of the Week the league offices announced Tuesday afternoon.
Lindstrom appeared in all four games for the Ravens leading her squad to a 3-1 record. The newcomer paced FPU in kills (59), kills per set (3.93), hitting percentage (.448), total blocks (14) and blocks per set (0.93) over the four matches. In her collegiate debut, a 3-0 win versus Post, Lindstrom racked up 14 kills and a .667 hitting percentage. She followed that up with a game-best 27 kills in a thrilling five-set win against Mercy while hitting .511 in the duel. Lindstrom's 27 kills ranked as the fourth-highest total in program history. In a 3-0 sweep of Queens (N.Y.), Lindstrom was a force at the net compiling eight total blocks.
The Ravens (3-1) head back out on the road Friday and Saturday for the Wildcat Invitational hosted by Wilmington (Del.) University.
