Doria Brown places 31st
MANCHESTER, N.H. (October 27, 2013) – Sophomore runner Alyssa Lambert (Manchester, N.H.) earned Third-Team All-Northeast-10 Conference honors on Sunday, as she placed 19th out of 149 competitors at the 2013 Northeast-10 Conference Championship at Saint Anselm College in Manchester.
She ran the race in a time of 19:10, and averaged a split of 3:50. It marked the first all-conference recognition for the program since it was enhanced two years ago. It was Lambert’s second top-20 finish in the last three races, as she turned the trick with a 14th-place effort at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational back on Sept. 21.
Franklin Pierce, as a team, finished 13th in the conference championship with a score of 299 points. Stonehill won the team title, while Saint Michael’s finished as the runner-up.
Lambert’s classmate, Doria Brown (Little Falls, N.J.), added to her strong fall season by placing 31st in a time of 19:36.
Sophomore Shannon Lozier (Merrimac, Mass.) placed 87th in a time of 21:07, while Danielle Koch (Coventry, Conn.) followed in 93rd with a mark of 21:15.
Lauren Clum-Russell (Saco, Maine) was the fifth Raven to count towards the team score, as she placed 118th in a time of 21:50.
Franklin Pierce returns to action in two weeks when it competes in the NCAA East Regional Championship at Franklin Park in Boston, Mass.
